“ You have to get tacos from here before you leave Sayulita! The staff are so funny, flirty and fairly attentive. The tacos are beyond amazing!! I think I came here 4 times in the week I was visiting! Loved it ”
“ Right in the heart of Sayulita, Mary’s hums with the chaos and charm of a beach town that never really sleeps. I asked the waiter what’s good — he said everything. For once, not a lie. The ceviche hits bright and clean, and Mary’s specialty taco? Messy, bold, unforgettable. Street soul with a little swagger. ”
“ The garlic fish tacos are some of the best tacos I've ever had. Super succulent and good portion size (3 will fill you if a big appetite). Usually lined up but well worth the wait. ”
“ This is a great whole in the wall spot. Very authentic, great food, great vibes. Portions are pretty big. I am a hungry dude and 3 tacos was pretty filling, I maybe could have done 4. They load them up. I will put an asterisk to all of this and say that the reason people love this place so much has got to be in part because of the price. It’s pretty cheap for how good it is. With that said, for how much people hyped up the shrimp tacos saying they were “the best tacos they’ve ever had,” they were sort of underwhelming. Definitely not the best tacos I’ve ever had. But the best shrimp tacos for 2.50? Yeah probably. So manage expectations. So it’s a great value spot. Want great food for cheap? Come here? Want the best food ever? Proba will have to go somewhere more expensive. ”
“ Mary's is not to be missed. I was there in January twice, and it was excellent . So when I returned to Sayulita with my sister, I told her we had to try it and it did not disappoint. My sister rarely gives compliments, but she practically gushed about her shrimp taco (not so much for the steak taco. It was lacking flavor). I had two different types of shrimp tacos, and both were marvelous, with plentiful fillings. In January my friend and I had the ceviche and it was really good too. If you want outdoor seating, go early or prepare to wait (we ate inside, but the tables seemed to be turning over outside fairly regularly). ”
